Last Sunday, on the most beautiful sunny afternoon, we hosted over 200 guests in the stunning Lime Kiln Garden for our biennial Spring Garden Party. It was a delight to see pupils joined by their grandparents and other family members and friends, enjoying music, school tours, afternoon tea, and joyful chat.

Guests, who also included alumnae and members of the 150 Society, were taken on personal tours of the school, where they were shown their dorms (and ensuite bathrooms, to the amazement of some of our alumnae!), classrooms and favourite spots as well as the Sports Club, Library and, most importantly, the School Shop!

Afternoon Tea was then served from the Dining Hall with many guests returning to the warm sunshine of the Lime Kiln Garden to enjoy their delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes.

Mrs Harrison was pleased to welcome so many families and friends to St Mary's and it was also an excellent opportunity to welcome the incoming Head, Mrs Anne Wakefield, who was also delighted to join us for the afternoon.

It truly was a delightful afternoon of celebration, and we are most grateful to the Calne Girls’ Association and Parents’ Guild of St Mary’s for making it possible through their much valued support and sponsorship.
