Calne Foundation |
On the evening of 13th September, over 100 St Mary’s parents, alumnae and supporters gathered on the terraces of Bowood House to enjoy the late evening sunshine at a drinks party, hosted by Lord and Lady Lansdowne, to raise money for the St Mary's Calne Bursary Fund.
Guests enjoyed Champagne and a delicious selection of canapés, to the beautiful lilting vocals and keyboard accompaniment of Old Girl, Thea, whilst taking in the stunning vistas across the Bowood parkland. The evening was brought to a fitting close by Calne Foundation Trust Patron, Lady Lansdowne, who talked warmly of the long association between Bowood and St Mary’s Calne before handing over to Headmistress, Dr Felicia Kirk, who spoke passionately of the Trust’s objective in raising funds to support truly transformational bursaries.
