An Uplifting String and Harp Recital

On Friday 28th April, we held an inaugural 'Harp and Strings Lunchtime Recital' in Chapel. It was a wonderful showcase of the diverse talent we have in the Strings Department at St Mary's.

On Friday 28th April, we held an inaugural 'Harp and Strings Lunchtime Recital' in Chapel. It was a wonderful showcase of the diverse talent we have in the Strings Department at St Mary's and gave a very welcome performance platform to many of our harp students, as well as some of our cello, violin, guitar and double bass students.

We heard a huge variety of music ranging from solo Bach on the cello, right through to the Theme from Harry Potter, and music by the Beatles. The audience was treated to coffee and shortbread whilst mingling before the recital started, and many visiting parents commented on how warm and inviting the occasion was.

All of the performers played beautifully and presented themselves very professionally to the audience. Congratulations to Myra, Joanne, April, Rachel, Ami, Felicity, Jemima, Coco, Alice, Millie and Coco for such an enjoyable concert!
