Our short story winners are now published authors! On Thursday 25th May, Sophie O (MIV, Year 8) went to Daunt Books in London for the launch of the Daunt Books Children's Short Story Competition 'Anthology' which features stories by Sophie, Beatrice C (UV) and Bella (UV).
Every year, the Daunt Books Short Story competition celebrates the wonderful creativity of the writing of childrena and young people. The competition is open to all children aged 4-15 from across the country, with the winning entries being compiled into a published anthology which, this year, has an introduction from author and Carnegie Medal winner Katya Balen, and a front cover designed by illustrator and author Marion Deuchars.
The girls’ entries were taken from their submissions to the School’s Literalily creative writing competition. You can read their winning pieces here.
Congratulations to our wonderful writers!
