On Friday 17th November, the UVI EPQ students showcased their excellent range of projects to students, parents and staff. It was a wonderful celebration of the hard work, commitment and depth of academic study they had dedicated to developing their projects.

The Lumi Library was split into five themed zones entitled Medicine and Health Care, Media and Society, Environment and Sustainability, Economics and Global Politics, and Art and History.  The students spoke eloquently and engagingly, inspiring the younger and older years alike. The range of content was diverse, from 'Are teenagers biologically programmed to take risks?', to 'How does economic development affect climate change?', to 'To what extent are women portrayed as villains in Greek mythology?'.

It was fascinating to not only learn about the students’ research but also to hear their reflections on how they have developed as independent learners, equipping them with skills for university and beyond.

Congratulations to all students who presented, and thank you to Mrs Paddock and Mrs Holloway who helped with the organisation of this fantastic event!
