On Thursday 25th April, the LVI A Level Economics students visited Bath University to attend a lecture chaired by Professor Nick Pearce in discussion with Torsten Bell, Professor Dame Diane Coyle and Dr Anne Valero on the topic of ‘Ending Stagnation - A New Economic Strategy for Britain’. It was a fascinating and complex talk that covered a range of relevant issues such as a global tax on billionaires, the need for investment in our economy, and the huge income inequality within the UK.

The lecture complemented our A Level course nicely, providing us with an insight into the challenges facing UK economic growth. We were also able to explore the Bath University campus and meet a current Economics students to ask some questions about university life.

Thank you so much to Mr Poole and Mr Bhatti for making this trip possible.
