The St Mary's Equestrian girls had a busy Half Term with some super results. On the first weekend, five girls attended the NSEA Arena Eventing Championships held at the prestigious venue Hickstead. The course was built well, it took some riding, and planning to get as close to the optimum time as possible. On the Saturday, the team of Tilly S., Willa R. and Elizabeth H. competed in the 1m-1.05m class that they had qualified for earlier on in the year. They all rode well, finishing on a team score of 8 meaning they came 4th place overall!

Elizabeth jumped clear and was two seconds off the optimum time meaning she was the highest placed unqualified individual. On the Sunday, we had another team in the 90-95cm class and with over 36 schools and nearly 200 competitors taking part it was a tight competition. The team of Darcy J., Carlotta S. and Willa R. all rode well with Willa jumping clear finishing 23rd individually.

Some other Equestrian news from Half Term:

- Willa R. completed her first two BE100 Events on her pony Ashe, finishing on their dressage score both times.

- Elizabeth H. won the 110cm Area Showjumping competition on her pony Beau and qualified for the Pony Club National Championships alongside Niamh R. in the team. Elizabeth also completed her first Novice finishing in 2nd place.

- Darcy J. jumped four amazing rounds this weekend in the 90 and 100 and qualified for pc champs in the 100 in August.

Good luck to the girls competing for the school at Rectory Farm this weekend.
