On a beautiful Saturday morning, pupils, staff and parents came together for the 2024 Sports Day at Beversbrook Sports Facility. The weather was perfect, with a slight breeze, which, along with the Company tents surrounding the finish line, created a great atmosphere for all the spectators and competitors.

Throughout the morning, girls competed in a variety of events on both track and field, gaining points to support their companies. Competition was fierce, as it always is, and there were some outstanding individual performances throughout the day, keeping our spectators entertained. Special mention goes to Lapo A. (MIV) who won all three of her events and Phoebe C. (LV) who won both of her events.

The Tug-of-War competition was once again a popular and spectacular watch for all involved, and certainly was much louder than previous years! Each Company competed against one another and this year’s winners, receiving the Inter Company Tug-of-War Cup, was Poore!

At the end of all events, it was time to see how the parents and staff would compete in the Tug-of-War, with the parents currently champions the two previous years. However, the staff have been in training and did not make it easy for the parents this year. At the end of the second game it was 1-1 so we had all to pull for! Despite some disagreements in numbers, the final winners were the Staff who lifted the Trophy! Well done to all who took part.

There was eager anticipation as the results were calculated and the following results were announced with the winners being awarded; Junior and Inter Individual Trophies; Junior, Inter and Senior Company winners and the Overall Winning Company Shield.

Well done to all the girls that took part and supported their Companies throughout the day, it was yet again a very successful day and event!
