This summer I was fortunate enough to be sponsored by the Calne Foundation Trust to go on Lacrosse Tour to Prague with the England National Under 20 Team.
After a brutally early start, we set off from Heathrow and landed in Prague on the 28th of August with the rest of the under 20 team. Over the following 5 days, we played 7 matches against various different teams, including the Czech National Teams and local clubs. I was lucky enough to play in every single match, and, though we didn’t win all the matches, I scored in most of the games I played in and learnt a huge deal from teams that were better than us on the day alongside our fantastic coaches.
Though very tired from all of the training and matches, we were lucky enough to experience Prague and see a lot of the city. Highlights include the castle and a boat tour with the team mascot firmly in tow.
I was selected to play Lacrosse for the England National Team in October 2021 and have competed with them in roughly 13 matches to date. I am about to start a Sports & Exercise Science degree at Leeds Beckett University where I will continue to play for England as well as for the University team.
Without the support of the Calne Foundation Trust, I would not have been able to have this opportunity and I remain enormously grateful.
