Bronze Sculpture Project

Limited Edition bronze resin miniature of ‘Grace’

To mark our 150th Anniversary, the Calne Girls’ Association have generously sponsored
a beautiful new bronze resin sculpture for the Lime Kiln Garden.

‘Grace’ has been cast from a clay maquette, sculpted by Sophie Thompson, LV.

Initially inspired by the Cherhill White Horse, Sophie’s clay maquette was created as part of a workshop led by our Art Scholars under the guidance of Judy Boyt, Sculptor and Kimberley Appleyard Pallot, Director of Art and sponsored by The Arts Society Wessex.

We are commissioning a small number of limited-edition bronze resin miniatures
which will be available to buy for £1,000. The piece measures 165mm high x 210mm wide and will be uniquely numbered.

Funds raised will go to The Chrysalis Campaign, which aims to build a strong and sustainable bursary fund to change lives for the better, opening doors to opportunities that never seemed possible and creating brighter futures for many more girls at St Mary’s.
