Music bursaries allow a variety of pupils to follow their dreams and receive expert tuition from our invaluable team of specialist music teachers. Individual tuition then encourages our ensembles to grow in stature and make memorable performances possible.
St Mary’s musicians are constantly inspired by professional musicians visiting the school either to work with them in a masterclass or perform with them. Sir Tim Rice, as Patron of our Performing Arts, and Sir Bryn Terfel have both given awards to the school to celebrate excellence.
Being inspired by ensemble music-making and an array of sensational performers, our pupils begin their journey with individual 1:1 music lessons which the music bursary scheme allows. Recipients of our bursaries make outstanding progress with deepened musical knowledge. Music at St Mary’s is an inspirational opportunity for wellbeing and individual growth, and the provision of music bursaries is the backbone of this vital addition to school life.
