I came to St Mary's Calne for the Sixth Form, having previously attended a state school. I loved it from the very first day, as the girls and house staff were friendly and welcoming, and I felt settled in within no time.
St Mary's gave me some amazing experiences during my time here. Academically, I finally felt like I was being challenged at school, and under the instruction and support of my teachers I managed to secure a place at Oxford.
Socially, I did so many things I never thought I'd be able to do. I played in orchestras, bands, and ensembles, and I learnt to play the Organ - I was even lucky enough to play the one in St Paul's Cathedral. I participated in drama and sport in a way that I never had before - and all of this happened in just two years here!
Coming to St Mary's Calne was an amazing opportunity, and I am certain that I wouldn't be where I am today without all the help it gave me.
